Learn at Your Own Pace
This isn't a course you need to complete within a set number of weeks. You can work through the lessons at a pace that suits you, giving yourself time to practise and experience what you're learning.
You'll have ongoing access to the course materials, so you can return whenever you want to revisit something. Any future updates I make to the course will also be available to you at no additional cost.
What's Included in Reiki Level 1?
Your course combines self-paced online learning with your Reiki attunements and the opportunity to ask questions as you progress.
You'll receive four Reiki Level 1 attunements, beginning with your first attunement live with me on Zoom. Through the course materials you'll explore the foundations of Reiki, its history and principles, working with energy, self-treatment and offering Reiki to family and friends.
Short multiple-choice assessments throughout the course help you check your understanding. A minimum pass mark of 80% is required before your Reiki Level 1 completion certificate is issued. If you don't reach 80% the first time, you can revisit the course materials and retake the assessment until you pass.
Learning Reiki With Me
I learned Reiki in 2012, began practising professionally in 2015 and have been teaching Reiki since 2016. Over that time, one of the things I have come to value most is that learning Reiki isn't simply about remembering information or trying to recreate somebody else's experience.
I will give you the foundations and practices you need, but I will also encourage you to experiment, notice what happens and gradually develop confidence in your own experience of Reiki.
Although this is an online course, you are not simply buying a collection of videos. We begin together with your live Zoom attunement, and I remain available when you have questions as you work through the course.
The course is approved by the Complementary Medical Association (CMA), providing independent recognition of the standard of the training.
Is Reiki Level 1 for Me?
You don't need any previous experience of Reiki or energy work to begin Level 1. You may have received Reiki before and become curious about learning it for yourself, or Reiki may simply be something you have found yourself drawn towards.
Perhaps you would like to develop a regular self-practice, understand more about energy and how you experience it, or learn how to offer Reiki to family and friends.
You don't need to know where Reiki might eventually take you. Level 1 is simply an opportunity to begin, practise and discover your own experience of it.
What Might You Discover Through Reiki?
People come to Reiki for many different reasons, and their experience of practising it can be equally individual.
At Level 1, you'll begin learning how to use Reiki for yourself through regular self-treatment. As you practise, you may start to notice more about how you respond to your thoughts, emotions, your body and what is happening around you.
For me, this is an important part of learning Reiki. It isn't only something we do with our hands. It can become a practice of noticing, being present and becoming more aware of ourselves.
You'll also learn how to offer Reiki to other people, giving you the foundations to begin exploring how Reiki feels when you practise with family and friends.
You are learning Reiki. And you are discovering your own experience of it.
